2001 - 2004
In Loving Memory
Our beloved boy was bitten by a poisonous snake on July 2nd, 2004. He received intensive treatment by the wonderful staff at UTK in Knoxville, TN where he spent the night trying to stave off the poison in his system. I had to make the difficult decision to let him go when the poison overtook him and he was just too tired to fight anymore. He was euthanized on July 3rd, 2004.
He will be missed by many.
Thank you Dr. Patrick Tyree for the constant phone consults and direction.
Thank you Nancy for staying by his side during that very hard night.
I would also like to send out a special Thank You to Nanette Yarbrough of Walnut Hill Farms in Dalton, GA and her wonderful Veterinarian, Grover who dropped everything to come rushing out to our farm and to Marji Henery who left in the middle of work to help a friend. Because of all of them, "Tater" was surrounded by love and was able to receive the best treatment a llama could possibly get. You will all be in my hearts forever and will never know what your time and efforts meant to me. Good people like you are a rare and precocious treasure.
God Bless You
